Marketing Specialist (4 Month Contract)

At Genus Technologies, we help customers solve complex digital transformation challenges through the use of intelligent document capture, content services, and process transformation solutions. We provide software, consulting and support services. We build repeatable solutions to complement our channel partners (Kofax, IBM, and Nuxeo) offerings with our own intellectual property. We are an experienced team of engineers, developers, creative thinkers, problem solvers, and overall smart people.

Who We are Looking For:

We’re looking for a talented, hard working person to lead our marketing department.  You will manage our small marketing team and work closely with the sales team and practice leaders as well as our executive leadership team.  We expect the activities of the marketing team to have a direct impact on our ability to get more leads from our channel partners, increase our sales pipeline directly from end users, and “grow our footprint” in existing customers.  

Primary Responsibilities:

You will be a direct report of the CEO and be responsible for prioritizing and managing the activities of the marketing department, including:

  • Assist the Sales and Marketing team with weekly execution of strategic initiatives
  • Navigating and utilizing marketing automation tool (ActiveCampaign)
  • Job shadow Marketing Specialist for two weeks to learn everyday marketing tasks
  • Assisting with creating pitch decks for target verticals to support sales
  • Digital marketing and help with SEO and social efforts
  • Support and manage LinkedIn
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator outreach campaigning
  • Generate new business through social media and email marketing
  • Assist with planning and executing a webinar
  • Navigate and manage CRM system to pull reports, update contacts, etc. (Sugar CRM)
  • Competitor intelligence reporting and analysis
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills aren’t essential but is a great value add
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Track, assess and report on value of marketing campaigns
  • Assist with lead funnel management and lead distribution
  • Completion of various other administrative tasks to support sales and marketing efforts

Essential Qualifications

  • A degree, in Marketing, Design, Business Administration, Communications or related field required
  • Previous B2B marketing experience
  • Experience using a CRM or Marketing Automation tool
  • An individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have a “can-do” attitude and tackle challenges in a positive and thoughtful way
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for growing a career in the sales and marketing field
  • You have a strong interest and understanding of technology and its impact on both business and society

Rock Star Qualifications

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and competitive spirit
  • Previous experience working in marketing for consulting services
  • Previous sales/business development experience
  • Experience in content services, process automation, and/or enterprise business process management
  • Strong competitive research skills and experience
  • Demonstrated record of success using marketing technologies including CRM (we use Sugar), marketing automation (we use ActiveCampaign), web (Webflow), video/webinar, production, analytics, and social media (LinkedIn)
  • Experience in use of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

Additional Details:

Start date: March 15th is target date, but can start as late as March 22nd
