Business Analyst

Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of the needs and objectives of the clients
- Analyze current systems, processes, and data flows to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved data quality
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including business cases, process flows, data models, technical and functional specifications
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive consensus and decision-making
- Engage clients with a consulting mindset by actively listening, asking clarifying questions, and validating understanding before proposing solutions or recommendations
- Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that solution designs align with project goals
- Identify opportunities to increase process efficiency and enhance systems to improve organizational effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role
- Understanding of systems architecture and design principles
- Ability to analyze business processes, systems, and requirements within complex technical environments
- Ability to effectively document and communicate system specifications
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening, asking clarifying questions, and validating understanding before proposing solutions
- Experience with data modeling and analysis techniques
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD)
- Ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), Agile or equivalent
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management and collaboration platforms
- Familiarity with automation technologies (e.g., Intelligent Automation (IA), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning)

Genus Technologies is located in downtown Minneapolis, MN. This role is in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Estimated Pay Range:
$80,000 - $110,000 is our estimated range for this role. Experience with role qualifications, education, alignment to Genus values and competencies, market and geographic location, and other factors are assessed when making final compensation decisions. There are also other potential variable compensation options that would be considered.
