We’re seeking a technically adept, client-focused Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native solutions for a major financial services client. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in agile environments, excels at translating business needs into technical architectures, and enjoys collaborating across teams to drive strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions that align with client goals, technical requirements, and enterprise standards
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures
  • Define technical scope, estimate level of effort (LOE), and guide solution planning early in the project lifecycle
  • Partner with development managers and agile teams to ensure architectural integrity throughout the delivery process
  • Lead the design of microservices, APIs, and cloud-native components (especially within Pivotal Cloud Foundry environments)
  • Provide architectural oversight across on-prem and cloud deployments, ensuring adherence to best practices in build, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Act as a technical liaison between business units, development teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with increasing scope and complexity
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions, particularly in Pivotal Platform (Tanzu) or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and working within Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Ability to assess technical complexity and provide accurate LOE estimates
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including UX, business analysts, and DevOps
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams across time zones
  • Willingness to travel (estimated 10%)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Adobe Workfront, ERP system and enterprise workflow or case management platforms, especially in contexts involving integration or automation
  • Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions
  • Background in consulting or solution design, with the ability to shape offerings and contribute to pre-sales efforts and help shape Genus Technologies offerings
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Exposure to financial services or banking environments

Location:

  • Genus Technologies is located in downtown Minneapolis, MN. This role is in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Estimate Pay Range:

  • $115,000 - $160,000 is our estimated range for this role. Experience with role qualifications, education, alignment to Genus values and competencies, market and geographic location, and other factors are assessed when making final compensation decisions. There are also other potential variable compensation options that would be considered.
